Sustainability and Intention
Sustainability is a journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts on Sustainability and Intention.
I strive to be as sustainable as possible, being conscious of the sensitive nature of sourcing fine jewelry materials - like metal and stone - the processes of recycling, and even the capitalist nature of buying and selling goods. Many of my stones and shells are sourced very close to home - like at the beach down the street from where I live. Some, I have to work a bit harder to source in an eco-friendly and economical way.
I make every object as long-lasting as possible, and am intentional about how I package and share these products with you. Any object in the Bina collection is made with deep intention and care. Much of my work is inspired by objects that have been passed down through generations, or that have been lost and found again, many years later. Additionally, these objects are for any person who has the desire to use or wear them, irrespective of gender or religious background.
If you own a Bina product and its time with you has run out, I hope you will regift it with as much care and intention as you received it.
As Bina grows, I will be able to offer more sustainable and more inclusive options as I develop the capital and the knowledge to be able to afford those possibilities! So stick with me and we can grow together.
All the packaging is eco-conscious. Please reuse or recycle the packaging from your purchases.
